GET TO KNOW US WHO IS
|
The BABC is a group of professional businesswomen and community leaders, our mission is to empower and support women. The initial design of the Believe and Achieve Book Club was to come together to read and discuss interesting literary works, depicting strong female characters. Since our first meeting 4 years ago, we continue to come together on a monthly basis not only to discuss our favorite reads, but also to identify how we can give back to our communities.
Our book club has definitely evolved since our first gathering. We continue to discuss amazing literature, and we support one another in life endeavors. Our recent interests have included community outreach in which we have gathered funds to give back to people in need. We have raised money among our group to adopt a family during Christmas, we purchased groceries for the St. Mary's food bank, and collected essentials for assisted living facilities. In addition, we raised funds for the victims of the Ukrainian invasion, donated to an orphanage in Mexicali, Mexico, and most recently we donated to a nonprofit so they can purchase backpacks and school supplies for underserved communities. |
